Jaguar Health, Inc. (NASDAQ: JAGX) is a commercial-stage pharmaceuticals company that develops and commercializes novel, plant-based, non-opioid prescription medicines derived from rainforest plants for gastrointestinal distress in people and animals, including chronic debilitating diarrhea, urgency, incontinence, and cramping; it operates through Human Health and Animal Health segments targeting companion animals, production animals, HIV/AIDS patients on antiretroviral therapy, and cancer patients. The company offers Mytesi (crofelemer 125 mg delayed-release tablets), an FDA-approved anti-secretory antidiarrheal for symptomatic relief of noninfectious diarrhea in adults with HIV/AIDS on antiretroviral therapy; Canalevia-CA1 (crofelemer delayed-release tablets), an FDA-conditionally approved prescription product for chemotherapy-induced diarrhea in dogs; and Neonorm products for calves and foals; its pipeline includes crofelemer in Phase III trials for prophylaxis of cancer therapy-related diarrhea (OnTarget trial topline results expected forthcoming) and Phase II/III for rare diseases such as short bowel syndrome and microvillus inclusion disease, as well as irritable bowel syndrome, idiopathic diarrhea, and NP-300 in Phase I for moderate-to-severe diarrhea. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in San Francisco, California, Jaguar conducts operations primarily in the United States with expansion efforts in Europe via Napo Therapeutics, an Italian subsidiary established in 2021, and supports investigator-initiated studies in the US, EU, and Middle East/North Africa; it maintains strategic relationships including a joint venture, Magdalena Biosciences, with Filament Health for mental health indications, an exclusive distribution agreement for Gelclair, and recent financial activities such as a $1.5 million registered direct offering in May 2025 and a submission to the European Medicines Agency in December 2025 regarding an EU approval pathway for Canalevia.
