Business
Kantra Copper Limited is an Australian copper producer focused on the operation, development and exploration of copper-gold assets in South Australia. The Company operates the Kanmantoo Copper Mine, an underground mine located in the Adelaide Hills, and produces copper concentrate containing payable copper and gold through its 3.6 million-tonne-per-annum processing plant; conducts underground mining, ore processing, resource-definition drilling, grade-control drilling and regional exploration; and advances the Mutooroo Copper Project in northeastern South Australia under a farm-in arrangement. Its primary customers are smelters and concentrate buyers, while its growth strategy is directed toward increasing resources and mine life at Kanmantoo, utilizing available plant capacity and developing a multi-asset Australian copper production platform. The Kanmantoo operation produced 11,315 tonnes of copper and 2,249 ounces of gold during 2025, and the Company continues exploration within the Kanmantoo mine area and elsewhere in South Australia. Formerly known as Hillgrove Resources Limited, the Company changed its name to Kantra Copper Limited in August 2026 following shareholder approval, completed a 15-for-1 share consolidation and adopted the ASX ticker KAN in early September 2026. The rebranding reflects its transition to a copper-focused producer centered on the Kanmantoo operation. Recent operational developments include board approval to develop Emily Star as Kanmantoo’s third underground mining front, requiring estimated capital expenditure of A$20 million to A$22 million, and continued resource-expansion drilling at the Spitfire lode, where drilling has extended copper-gold mineralisation beyond the 2025 mineral resource estimate; these results are intended to support a planned 2026 resource update. Kantra Copper was founded in 1952 and is headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia.
