Kindred Healthcare, LLC, a subsidiary of ScionHealth, operates as a leading provider of post-acute healthcare services focused on long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs), inpatient rehabilitation, and specialized treatments for medically complex patients. The company delivers core services including antibiotic therapy, diabetes management, pulmonary and brain injury care, skilled nursing, home health, hospice, transitional care hospitals, Kindred Rehabilitation Services encompassing skilled nursing rehabilitation and hospital rehabilitation programs, and behavioral health services; it maintains a nationwide network of approximately 60 Kindred Hospitals across 16 states, with all facilities earning at least one Joint Commission disease-specific certification in areas such as respiratory failure, sepsis, pulmonary rehabilitation, or wound care. Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, Kindred Healthcare targets patients requiring intensive medical and rehabilitative care in the United States.
