Business
Nexen Corporation (005720.KS) manufactures and sells rubber products in South Korea, primarily tire inner tubes, tire flaps, curling tubes and envelopes, tread rubbers, solid and retread tires, bladders for tires, golf balls, carbon masterbatch, and stainless steel wire; it also provides logistics services including sea, bulk, air, inland transport, distribution, warehousing, and knock down operations. Founded in 1968 and headquartered in Gimhae-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, the company exports its products to approximately 140 countries worldwide through manufacturing plants in South Korea and China. In recent developments, Nexen Corporation secured KRW 23.5 billion in funding through a private placement of exchangeable bonds in September 2025, while its affiliate Nexen Tire expanded strategically with new regional hubs in Romania, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia, a long-term supply agreement for recovered carbon black, and deepened original equipment partnerships including with Stellantis for Citroën models and Kia for global EVs.
