Business
DAEWON CO., LTD. is a South Korea-based comprehensive construction, real estate development, and textile manufacturing company. Founded in February 1972 and headquartered in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, the company operates across domestic and international markets, maintaining a prominent presence in South Korea and Southeast Asia, particularly Vietnam. Daewon Co., Ltd. conducts its business activities primarily through two operating segments: Construction and Textiles. In its Construction segment, the company delivers end-to-end building and engineering solutions, comprising residential development and housing construction under its proprietary Cantavil brand; civil engineering services, including highway and road infrastructure, bridge construction, land reclamation, and site leveling; environmental and public utility engineering, including industrial water supply systems, sewer network modernizations, and wastewater pipeline renewals; industrial facility construction, covering manufacturing plants, logistics hubs, and industrial complex development; and commercial real estate construction, including office buildings, shopping centers, and mixed-use urban complexes. In its Textile segment, which constitutes the firm's foundational business, the company manufactures and distributes high-grade worsted woolen fabrics; blended yarns; uniform textiles; and tailored apparel materials. Internationally, Daewon Co., Ltd. functions as an integrated master real estate developer in Vietnam through regional entities such as Daewon Cantavil Vietnam. Its overseas portfolio includes master-planned urban developments, luxury residential high-rises, commercial retail centers, coastal resort complexes, and industrial logistics parks across key economic hubs including Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Hue, and Can Tho. In recent corporate developments, Daewon Co., Ltd. has advanced a strategic shift from conventional contract construction toward high-margin international master real estate development, restructuring and consolidating its Vietnamese subsidiaries under Daewon Cantavil Vietnam in preparation for a localized initial public offering. In its domestic infrastructure business, the company has secured critical industrial and municipal engineering mandates, including the construction of the industrial water supply pipeline system for SK Hynix semiconductor production facilities, the Naju central wastewater management project, and the aging wastewater pipeline renovation at the Gwangyang National Industrial Complex. Additionally, the company expanded its corporate charter to add manpower dispatch services and affiliated international trade operations to its business objectives, while executing capital management and corporate value-up initiatives involving treasury share cancellations and executive leadership updates.
