Business
SHINWON Construction Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based comprehensive construction and civil engineering enterprise specializing in residential building, commercial architecture, public infrastructure development, industrial plant engineering, and real estate development. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company operates across the domestic Korean market, serving public government bodies, institutional entities, private corporate clients, and individual property buyers. The company operates through five principal business divisions: Housing and Residential Construction, Civil Engineering, Architectural and Public Construction, Industrial Plants and Logistics, and Real Estate Development. The company's core product and service portfolio includes: In Housing and Residential Construction: mainstream multi-family residential complexes, high-rise apartments, and urban living developments under its established proprietary brand Shinwon Achim Dosi; bespoke luxury residential estates, townhouses, and ultra-high-end private villas under its premium Upper House brand; multi-purpose residential-commercial complexes; residential redevelopment and reconstruction contracting; and studio and officetel units. In Civil Engineering: public transportation infrastructure including highways, national expressways, vehicular bridges, and tunnels; urban railway tracks, subway lines, and transit facilities; land reclamation, industrial complex site development, and earthworks; and municipal water supply, sewage management networks, and coastal harbor civil works. In Architectural and Public Construction: public-private partnership (PPP) and Build-Transfer-Lease (BTL) developments comprising military barracks and residential quarters; educational facilities including primary, secondary, and university campus buildings; corporate office headquarters, commercial retail hubs, and business parks; and government administrative complexes, hospitals, and cultural centers. In Industrial Plants and Logistics: engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for high-tech semiconductor materials and quartzware manufacturing plants; petrochemical and industrial gas utility facilities; specialized cleanrooms; and automated dry and temperature-controlled cold-chain logistics centers. In Real Estate Development and Leisure: comprehensive project planning, property development, commercial asset management, and leisure facility construction, including golf course and resort hospitality assets. In recent operational and strategic developments, SHINWON Construction has executed a structured diversification strategy aimed at mitigating cyclical residential real estate volatility by expanding its presence in industrial plant construction, advanced logistics facilities, and public infrastructure. The company has strengthened its industrial order book through substantial private logistics awards, including a 42.2 billion South Korean won contract to construct a major distribution center in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. Concurrently, the company has broadened its dual-track residential strategy by intensifying high-margin luxury residential development under the Upper House brand in prime metropolitan areas while maintaining regional housing deliveries under Shinwon Achim Dosi. In addition, SHINWON Construction continues to scale its participation in public-sector BTL programs and high-tech semiconductor manufacturing facility contracts, reinforcing its project pipeline and operational stability across the South Korean construction sector.
