Business
KOREA PHARMA Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based pharmaceutical manufacturing company primarily engaged in the research, development, production, and distribution of prescription ethical pharmaceuticals (ETC), over-the-counter (OTC) medications, and contract manufacturing organization (CMO) solutions. The company specializes in central nervous system (CNS) and gastrointestinal (GI) therapies, supplying healthcare institutions, retail pharmacies, and global partners. The company organizes its product and service portfolio across several specialized categories: Central Nervous System (CNS) Therapeutics, encompassing antidepressants, antipsychotics for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, antiepileptic drugs, Alzheimer's disease treatments, and sedatives; Gastrointestinal (GI) Preparations, including oral bowel cleansing solutions, proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), mucosal protectants, and digestive regulators; Circulatory and Cardiovascular Drugs, comprising antihypertensives, antiplatelet agents, and lipid-lowering therapies; Anti-Infective and Respiratory Formulations, containing broad-spectrum antibiotics, antifungals, antihistamines, and bronchodilators; Topical and Dermatological Treatments, featuring specialized ointments, creams, and antiseptic liquid solutions; and Nutritional and Metabolic Formulations, including amino acid supplements and specialized vitamin therapies. In addition to branded and generic pharmaceuticals, the company provides comprehensive CMO and contract development services, manufacturing oral solids, oral liquids, topical preparations, and sterile injectables for multinational and domestic pharmaceutical enterprises. Founded in 1974 and incorporated in December 1985, KOREA PHARMA Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, where it operates cGMP-compliant manufacturing and quality control facilities in the Hyangnam Pharmaceutical Complex, alongside corporate administrative offices in Seoul. The company serves the South Korean domestic healthcare market and exports finished pharmaceutical formulations to over 16 countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. In recent strategic developments, KOREA PHARMA Co., Ltd. has expanded its core CNS footprint into digital healthcare, medical technologies, and next-generation therapeutics. In November 2025, the company executed an exclusive domestic distribution partnership with digital healthcare developer Emotiv for Star Ruckus, a digital therapeutic device designed for pediatric attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), followed by national commercial rollout and medical symposium initiatives in early 2026. In July 2026, the company entered into a strategic joint business agreement with Ybrain to co-develop and commercialize electroencephalography (EEG) diagnostic platforms and electroceutical neuromodulation devices for psychiatric and neurological conditions. Alongside these digital therapeutics alliances, the company continues to expand its pipeline of incrementally modified drugs (IMDs), enhance its contract manufacturing production capacity, and execute targeted capital financing to support ongoing facility automation and international regulatory approvals.
