- FINO INC. is a South Korea-based technology and advanced materials company primarily engaged in the manufacturing, development, and distribution of secondary battery materials, telecommunication transmission equipment, and digital software. The company operates through three principal business divisions: New Energy and Battery Materials, Telecommunications, and Digital Entertainment. Its comprehensive product and service portfolio comprises: secondary battery precursor materials, including nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM), nickel-based, cobalt-based, and sodium-based chemical precursors utilized in lithium-ion and next-generation battery cells; lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active materials engineered for electric vehicle batteries and energy storage systems (ESS); wireless telecommunication equipment, including 5G in-building repeaters, small-cell repeaters, optical repeaters, radio frequency (RF) signal amplifiers, and commercial Wi-Fi transmission modules; and interactive entertainment software, consisting of mobile and online video game development and publishing services.
Founded on February 9, 1990, and headquartered in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company serves cathode manufacturers, battery cell producers, automotive supply chain partners, and national telecommunications carriers primarily in South Korea and broader Asian markets. In September 2024, the company officially changed its corporate name from Skymoons Technology, Inc. to FINO INC. to mark a strategic pivot toward becoming a specialized secondary battery materials provider. In alignment with this strategic shift, global precursor manufacturer CNGR Advanced Material Co., Ltd. became a major strategic shareholder and supply chain partner. FINO INC. subsequently acquired a 75 percent controlling interest in CNP New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a manufacturing joint venture established in partnership with POSCO Future M and CNGR to construct an LFP cathode active material production facility in Pohang, South Korea. Additionally, the company has secured precursor supply agreements with major domestic cathode manufacturers, including L&F Co., Ltd., and raised strategic equity financing to establish a vertically integrated battery material supply network compliant with international trade regulations.
