- KZ Precision Corporation, formerly known as Young Poong Precision Corporation, is a South Korea-based industrial machinery and fluid-handling equipment manufacturer specializing in the engineering, production, and distribution of heavy-duty industrial pumps, valves, and precision casting products. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, with manufacturing facilities in Ulsan, the company primarily serves petrochemical refineries, chemical processing facilities, power generation plants, oil and gas installations, metallurgy facilities, and water treatment operations across domestic and international markets in Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, and Europe. The company operates across three primary business segments: Pump, Valve, and Foundry. Its core product offering includes chemical process pumps conforming to ANSI and ASME standards; heavy-duty process pumps engineered to API 610 specifications; magnetic drive seal-less pumps; overhung, between-bearings, and multi-stage centrifugal pumps; vertical turbine and vertical sump pumps; double suction pumps; MUNSCH brand non-metallic chemical pumps; and TRICO industrial lubrication systems and equipment. The valve segment manufactures automated on-off and control valves; floating and trunnion-mounted ball valves; high-performance butterfly valves; check valves; and severe-service cryogenic valves. Its foundry operations supply corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant, and wear-resistant alloy castings, encompassing duplex and super duplex stainless steels, nickel-based alloys, and customized steel grade components for heavy industry applications. In addition to hardware manufacturing, the company provides aftermarket engineering services; plant troubleshooting and vibration analysis; equipment overhaul, repair, and retrofit services; and spare parts supply. In significant recent developments, the company officially changed its corporate name from Young Poong Precision Corporation to KZ Precision Corporation in April 2025 to solidify its corporate identity and strategic alignment with affiliate Korea Zinc. Furthermore, in October 2024, the company underwent a major ownership transition following a successful tender offer by Jerico Partners Co., Ltd., an investment vehicle established by the Choi family of Korea Zinc, which secured a controlling equity interest and established Jerico Partners as the parent entity amid a broader corporate restructuring and governance dispute involving the Young Poong and MBK Partners alliance.
