Business
KL-Net Corp is a South Korea-based provider of maritime and logistics information technology (IT) solutions, specializing in electronic data interchange (EDI) network services, system integration (SI), and system management (SM). Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company operates primarily within the logistics information and communications technology (ICT) sector, serving maritime shipping carriers, port terminal operators, freight forwarders, customs brokers, logistics transportation enterprises, regional port authorities, and government agencies including the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Korea Customs Service. KL-Net Corp structures its operations across four primary business segments: Logistics EDI Services, System Integration, System Management and Maintenance, and Solution Sales and Cloud Services. The company offers a specialized portfolio of products and services, including port logistics information network platforms such as the Port Logistics Information System for Maritime (PLISM); integrated digital logistics web portals operated under the LogisView brand; maritime and air logistics EDI services facilitating electronic customs declarations, vessel entry and departure clearances, export and import cargo manifest submissions, and terminal handling notices; Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) for container and general cargo port facilities; automated gate control and yard management systems utilizing radio-frequency identification (RFID) and optical character recognition (OCR) technologies; Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); digital freight forwarding and shipping agency management software; and trade document digitization systems supporting electronic bill of lading (e-B/L) processing. Additionally, the company provides enterprise IT infrastructure consulting, network security implementation, hardware procurement, and data center outsourcing services. While KL-Net Corp maintains its primary market operations throughout South Korea, it actively delivers maritime IT consulting and exports port community system (PCS) technologies to international markets across Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Africa. In recent strategic and operational developments, KL-Net Corp has accelerated the modernization of its core logistics infrastructure by migrating PLISM and LogisView services to next-generation cloud environments and deploying artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled predictive logistics analytics; secured major system integration contracts and public-private partnerships with domestic port authorities to implement smart terminal operating systems and automated vessel traffic monitoring; expanded paperless digital trade capabilities through blockchain-enabled electronic trade documentation platforms; and launched new smart port and green maritime initiatives focused on real-time container carbon emission monitoring and autonomous vessel interface support systems.
