- MEDIANA Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based medical device manufacturer that designs, develops, produces, and markets electronic medical equipment and healthcare solutions worldwide. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Wonju-si, Gangwon-do, South Korea, the company operates across clinical, hospital, emergency medical, and commercial health sectors through its proprietary brand as well as original design manufacturing (ODM) and original equipment manufacturing (OEM) partnerships. MEDIANA operates primarily through three core product segments: Patient Monitoring Systems, Emergency Medical Equipment, and Body Composition Analyzers. Its comprehensive product portfolio includes patient monitors such as the M50, M40, and M32 series; vital signs monitors comprising the V20 and V10 models; central monitoring systems and telemetry software, including the InfowareG platform; veterinary monitors such as the M50VET and M40VET; automated external defibrillators (AEDs) including the HeartOn A16, A15, T16, and T15 models; professional monitor defibrillators including the D700 and D100 series; multi-frequency body composition analyzers for clinical and wellness applications, such as the i55, i50, i35, i30, i25, and i20 series alongside integrated management software and mobile applications; and specialized medical accessories and disposables, including ECG cables, SpO2 sensors, defibrillation pads, and vascular access devices. The company serves domestic and international markets, distributing its equipment to hospitals, clinics, emergency medical services, and commercial wellness centers across more than 80 countries in North America, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and Latin America.
In recent corporate developments, MEDIANA transitioned ownership following its acquisition by South Korean artificial intelligence software developer Selvas AI Co., Ltd. in early 2024, which acquired a controlling stake of approximately 37.5% in conjunction with its affiliate Selvas Healthcare, Inc. Under new leadership led by Selvas AI Chief Executive Officer Kwak Min-chul, MEDIANA is executing a strategic transformation to integrate its proprietary medical hardware with advanced AI diagnostics, voice recognition, and predictive healthcare algorithms. Additionally, MEDIANA joined the Medical AI Strategic Alliance (MASA) to co-develop next-generation AI-powered clinical systems. In regulatory milestones, the company secured European Union Medical Device Regulation (CE MDR) certification across its complete line of patient monitoring devices, central monitoring systems, and automated external defibrillators, including the A16 model, which became the first South Korean-manufactured AED to achieve CE MDR compliance.
