Business
Sungho Electronics Corp. is a South Korea-based manufacturer and distributor of electronic components, power conversion equipment, and integrated assembly solutions for the automotive, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and green energy industries. Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company operates primarily through three core business segments: Film Capacitors, Power Supply Units (PSU), and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS/PCBA). The company's product and service portfolio comprises high-reliability metallized film capacitors, automotive-grade DC-link capacitors, interference suppression and electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters, box-type capacitors, snubber capacitors, and internally manufactured metallized base films; power supply solutions including switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), AC/DC converters, DC/DC power converters, adapter units, residential LED lighting power drivers, printer and office automation power supplies, and high-efficiency inverter modules; and surface-mount technology (SMT) and printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) services covering main control boards, power distribution boards, inverter boards, and display modules. Operating under both original equipment manufacturing (OEM) and original design manufacturing (ODM) models, Sungho Electronics serves leading global brands across the consumer appliance, automotive manufacturing, renewable energy, and industrial electronics sectors. The company maintains an international operational footprint with production, research, and distribution networks in South Korea, China, and India, supported by key operating entities including Weihai Hanxing Sungho Electronics Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Hanxing Sungho Electronics Co., Ltd., and its electric mobility joint venture IPEC India Private Limited. In recent operational and strategic developments, Sungho Electronics has accelerated its expansion into high-value clean energy and automotive electronics markets, establishing commercial supply relationships for proprietary high-voltage film capacitors and power modules used in electric vehicle (EV) platforms from international automotive manufacturers such as Porsche and Audi. Additionally, the company has expanded its product offerings to include power modules for ultra-fast EV charging infrastructure, components for residential and utility-scale solar inverters, and energy storage systems (ESS). To drive long-term diversification, the company has also undertaken strategic business expansion initiatives, including targeted investments and acquisitions in artificial intelligence infrastructure, optical communication technologies, and advanced power conversion systems alongside ongoing automation upgrades across its manufacturing facilities.
