Total Soft Bank Ltd. (KRX: 045340) is a South Korea-based information technology company that develops and provides specialized software solutions and consulting services for the maritime, port, and logistics industries. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Busan, South Korea, the company delivers mission-critical software systems designed to optimize container terminal throughput, enhance vessel safety, automate port workflows, and streamline global logistics operations. Total Soft Bank operates independently and has no corporate affiliation with Japan's SoftBank Group. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of maritime and terminal management software categorized into terminal operating systems, vessel planning solutions, port community platforms, and simulation technologies. Its core product suite comprises: CATOS (Computer Automated Terminal Operating System), an automated terminal operating system that oversees gate-to-berth container planning, real-time yard tracking, equipment scheduling, and terminal throughput optimization; MOST (Multi-purpose Operation System for Terminals), a web-enabled management platform designed for non-containerized, bulk, and general cargo terminal facilities; CASP (Computer Automated Stowage Planning), an advanced vessel stowage planning and optimization software utilized by container carriers and roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) operators; TSB Supercargo, a certified onboard loading computer system that calculates ship hydrostatics, stability, and longitudinal strength; PORT-PLUS (Port Logistics Unifying System), an integrated port community and logistics information platform connecting terminal operators, shipping lines, customs agencies, and port authorities; and specialized simulation and training solutions, including CATOS DT (Digital Twin Terminal) for virtual port recreation, VR/AR-based s-Crane training simulators for rubber-tyred gantry and rail-mounted gantry crane operators, and s-Welding maritime training modules. In addition to packaged software, the company provides systems integration, custom software engineering, IT consulting, technical maintenance, and operational training services. Total Soft Bank serves global container terminal operators, maritime transport companies, port authorities, and logistics service providers across more than 20 countries spanning the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East, operating overseas entities such as Total Soft Bank Vietnam Company Limited. In recent operational developments, the company has accelerated the integration of artificial intelligence, digital twin architecture, and autonomous mobility across its product ecosystem. Recent technological advancements include the commercial rollout of CATOS DT, which pairs extended reality (XR) and Internet of Things (IoT) sensors with machine learning simulation models to create real-time digital twins of port environments; the introduction of SLAM-based (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) navigation software for autonomous terminal transport vehicles; and the deployment of AI algorithms for predictive berth scheduling and container yard optimization. Strategically, Total Soft Bank entered into collaboration agreements with the Terminal Industry Committee 4.0 (TIC 4.0) and the Smart Port Logistics Information Association (SPLIA) to implement global IoT communication and data interoperability standards across its terminal operating systems, while also partnering with regional research consortia to develop next-generation AI-driven smart port technologies.
