Komelon Corporation is a South Korea-based manufacturing company primarily engaged in the development, manufacture, and global distribution of precision measuring instruments, cutting tools, and specialized steel materials. Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Busan, South Korea, the company operates as a vertically integrated manufacturer catering to professional contractors, construction and civil engineering industries, carpentry and woodworking specialists, landscaping professionals, and do-it-yourself (DIY) consumer markets. The company's core product and service portfolio comprises multiple specialized categories: pocket tape measures, including models engineered with nylon-coated steel blades, proprietary Self-Lock retraction mechanisms, magnetic end hooks, stainless steel rust-resistant casings, and integrated LED illumination; long measuring tapes, consisting of heavy-duty fiberglass tapes, steel long tapes, and high-speed gear-driven rewind systems for outdoor surveying; distance measuring wheels, featuring mechanical and digital counter systems with ergonomic pistol grips for land measurement and road construction; laser distance meters and precision steel rules; cutting tools, encompassing auto-locking utility knives, snap-off cutter knives fabricated with high-strength SK2 and SK2Cr4 carbon steel blades, and heavy-duty replacement blades; hand saws, featuring hard chrome-plated carpentry saws, pull saws, and folding pruning saws equipped with impulse-hardened tri-edge teeth; and cold-rolled special strip steel materials manufactured through its dedicated rolling mill subsidiary, Komelon Steel Co., Ltd., for internal tool fabrication and external industrial supply. Komelon Corporation markets its products under the Komelon brand name across more than 80 countries worldwide throughout North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. The company's global operating infrastructure includes key regional subsidiaries and distribution hubs such as Komelon USA Corporation in Waukesha, Wisconsin, United States; Komelon Europe B.V. in the Netherlands; Komelon Steel Co., Ltd. in South Korea; and international manufacturing and assembly plants situated in South Korea and China. In recent strategic and operational developments, Komelon Corporation expanded its overseas manufacturing capacity by commissioning and opening a new production facility in Vietnam, supported by strategic capital investments in its Southeast Asian affiliates to diversify manufacturing capabilities, mitigate supply chain risks, and optimize global logistics efficiency. Concurrently, the company has expanded its product catalog through the rollout of advanced tool solutions, including the Quick Draw Pro measuring tape series, next-generation ergonomic snap-off utility knives, and reinforced fiberglass long-distance tapes, alongside ongoing investments in manufacturing automation and blade-coating technology.
