Business
Nexteel Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based steel manufacturer primarily engaged in the production and distribution of welded steel pipes and tubular solutions for the energy, construction, and infrastructure sectors. The company's core product portfolio includes Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG), comprising American Petroleum Institute (API) certified casing and tubing engineered for oil and natural gas drilling and extraction; line pipes designed for high-pressure onshore and offshore transmission of oil, gas, and industrial fluids; ordinary and pressure piping for general plumbing, heating, and fluid conveyance systems; structural steel pipes, including heavy-wall circular, square, and rectangular hollow sections used in architectural frameworks, civil engineering, and industrial machinery; and mechanical tubing, including drawn-over-mandrel (DOM) tubes for precision engineering applications. The company also provides value-added finishing and processing services, such as specialized pipe threading, anti-corrosion coating, quenching and tempering heat treatments, and non-destructive hydrostatic testing. In recent developments, Nexteel completed its initial public offering on the Korea Exchange (KRX: 092790) in August 2023. To diversify its manufacturing capabilities beyond traditional electric resistance welded (ERW) products and expand into offshore wind and heavy infrastructure markets, the company has undertaken major facility investments totaling approximately KRW 161.3 billion, adding high-capacity spiral submerged arc welded (SSAW) pipe mill lines and heavy-wall roll bending mill lines at its Pohang No. 3 plant. The company operates multiple manufacturing facilities in Pohang and Gyeongju, South Korea, and serves key international markets across North America, the Middle East, and Asia, supported by overseas subsidiaries such as Nexteel America Corporation and Nexteel Saha LLC in the United States. Founded in 1990 and formerly known as Daewon Industrial Co., Ltd. before adopting its current name in 2001, Nexteel Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, with an executive sales office in Seoul.
