- KINX Inc. is a South Korea-based digital infrastructure and telecommunications service provider that specializes in carrier-neutral Internet exchange, data center colocation, cloud interconnection, content delivery, and dedicated network solutions. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company operates as a consolidated subsidiary of Gabia Inc. and serves internet service providers, multi-system operators, global content delivery networks, hyperscale cloud service providers, government agencies, financial institutions, and enterprise clients across South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
The company operates through integrated business segments covering network exchange, colocation, cloud infrastructure, video platforms, and international connectivity. Its core products and services include: Layer 2 carrier-neutral Internet Exchange (IX) solutions providing settlement-free local and remote peering services that enable autonomous network operators to exchange traffic efficiently; Internet Data Center (IDC) colocation services offering high-density rack space, server housing, private suites, uninterruptible power supply, environmental monitoring, disaster recovery, and managed distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) security mitigation; CloudHub, a multi-cloud interconnection platform delivering dedicated private network on-ramps to major public cloud providers including Amazon Web Services Direct Connect, Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect, Oracle Cloud FastConnect, and NAVER Cloud Platform; IXcloud, an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform offering OpenStack- and Kubernetes-based compute instances, block and object storage, virtual private clouds, load balancers, and container orchestration; Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions engineered for web acceleration, high-volume file transfer, dynamic content caching, and media streaming; midibus, a proprietary Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) video management platform featuring live streaming, automated cloud transcoding, digital rights management, content distribution, and audience analytics; and Network Interconnection Services, encompassing domestic and international IP transit, metro data center interconnect (DCI), structured cross-connects, and China Direct Connect via overseas points of presence in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
In recent strategic developments, KINX commissioned its flagship Gwacheon Data Center in late 2024, deploying high-density, AI-ready infrastructure optimized for power capacities exceeding 20 kW per rack to support graphics processing unit clusters and high-performance computing workloads. Expanding its hyperscale footprint, KINX and its parent company Gabia established a strategic partnership with Macquarie Asset Management in 2026 to invest approximately KRW 600 billion over a four- to six-year horizon to build more than 100 MW of next-generation data center capacity in South Korea, designating KINX to direct facility design, operational management, network integration, and maintenance starting with a hyperscale facility in Ansan. Furthermore, KINX formed a strategic alliance with Daewoo Engineering & Construction in 2026 to jointly co-develop and operate large-scale AI and enterprise data centers, pairing Daewoo's engineering and construction resources with KINX's carrier-neutral network interconnection platform and data center operations.
