The company develops, manufactures, and distributes a comprehensive portfolio of industrial and specialized maritime systems organized across multiple core product divisions: marine and industrial lighting systems, including explosion-proof and flameproof lighting fixtures, marine LED luminaires, navigation lights, signal lights, floodlights, searchlights, and helideck lighting systems; marine communication and electronic systems, comprising integrated communication systems (ICS) for naval and commercial vessels, ship-to-land communication networks, reefer container monitoring systems (RCMS), electronic nautical consoles, and ultrasonic anemometers; power distribution and electrical control equipment, encompassing marine main and emergency switchboards, motor control centers (MCC), engine control room (ECR) consoles, integrated bridge systems (IBS), and railway vehicle switchboards, electrical control cabinets, and jumper couplers; defense and underwater robotics systems, including remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), mine disposal vehicles (MDVs), and specialized submarine lead-acid batteries and torpedo propulsion battery assemblies manufactured through its subsidiary Korea Special Battery Co., Ltd.; and precision sensor solutions, featuring Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) pressure sensors for electronic stability control (ESC) braking systems, as well as specialized high-pressure, medium-pressure, and low-pressure sensors and nozzle temperature-pressure sensors for hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Busan, South Korea, Daeyang Electric operates manufacturing facilities and research centers in South Korea and delivers products to major global shipbuilders, national naval forces, rolling stock manufacturers, and automotive original equipment manufacturers across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. In recent developments, Daeyang Electric has advanced corporate restructuring initiatives to incorporate affiliated marine lighting distributor Daeyang Jeonjang Co., Ltd. as a consolidated subsidiary, aimed at optimizing corporate governance, eliminating intra-group transaction complexities, and driving distribution synergies. Furthermore, the company has accelerated its strategic expansion into eco-friendly automotive technologies by scaling commercial supply of high-precision MEMS hydrogen pressure and temperature sensors for hydrogen fuel cell vehicle platforms, while continuing research and development in autonomous unmanned maritime platforms and next-generation naval communication systems.
