Business
Hansol IONES Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based company engaged in the precision machining, surface treatment, precision cleaning, and specialized coating of ultra-precision components for the semiconductor and flat panel display manufacturing equipment industries. Founded in March 1993 and headquartered in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company operates as a consolidated subsidiary of Hansol Technics Co., Ltd. within the broader Hansol Group. The company organizes its business operations into two principal divisions: Precision Machining and Precision Cleaning and Coating. Its product and service portfolio includes ultra-precision semiconductor equipment components, such as electrostatic chucks (ESCs), process chambers, showerheads, diffusers, liners, flanges, rings, and plasma shields utilized in etching, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and atomic layer deposition (ALD) systems; flat panel display components engineered for organic light-emitting diode (OLED) and liquid crystal display (LCD) fabrication processes; proprietary surface treatment and advanced coating solutions, including atmospheric plasma spray (APS), suspension plasma spray (SPS), diamond-like carbon (DLC), and ion nano-coating (INC) technologies engineered to maximize plasma corrosion resistance and mitigate particulate contamination; and precision cleaning, decontamination, and refurbishment services designed to restore used equipment components and extend the operating lifecycle of critical consumables. The company serves global semiconductor original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), notably Applied Materials, as well as integrated device manufacturers including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix across South Korea, North America, and other international markets. In recent corporate developments, the company was integrated into the Hansol Group following its acquisition by Hansol Technics Co., Ltd. and subsequently changed its legal name from IONES Co., Ltd. to Hansol IONES Co., Ltd. To meet increasing capacity requirements driven by advanced semiconductor fabrication and next-generation packaging technologies, Hansol IONES initiated a KRW 91 billion capital expenditure program for new production facilities. In addition, the company continues to align its operations within Hansol Group's integrated semiconductor materials and components ecosystem alongside affiliated entities such as SI Materials and Will Technology, while implementing capital management and shareholder return initiatives including the cancellation of repurchased treasury shares.
