Business
MSDI Co., Ltd., formerly known as RNT-X Co., Ltd. and Iwin Plus Co., Ltd., is a South Korea-based technology and defense manufacturing company that provides precision missile systems, semiconductor image sensor packaging, and advanced electronic components. Founded in October 2003 and headquartered in Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, the company operates across precision defense, semiconductor packaging, optical coating, and automotive components segments. The company offers core products and services comprising the design, joint development, licensed domestic manufacturing, and lifecycle maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for precision-guided air-to-ground and air-to-air missile systems; official military defense equipment trade and agency services; proprietary wafer-level chip-scale packaging (WLCSP) solutions marketed under the NeoPAC brand (including NeoPAC I, NeoPAC II, and NeoPAC 3D) along with backend test services for CMOS image sensors (CIS) utilized in smartphones, automotive cameras, surveillance equipment, and IoT devices; specialized optical surface treatment, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, and stiffener coating services for compact mobile camera modules; and precision toll processing of automotive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system components. The company serves government defense procurement agencies, aerospace contractors, fabless semiconductor firms, camera module assemblers, and automotive tier suppliers across South Korea and global markets. In recent operational and corporate developments, the company has executed a major strategic pivot to establish itself as a specialized defense and missile systems provider. The company transitioned its corporate name from Iwin Plus Co., Ltd. to RNT-X Co., Ltd. in January 2026 and subsequently to MSDI Co., Ltd. (Missile Systems Defence Industry) in August 2026 following a change in controlling leadership and capital backing from RN2 Technologies Co., Ltd. and affiliated investment groups. In July 2026, South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) officially accredited the company as a registered military trade agent, supporting strategic business alliances with global defense contractors for licensed assembly and co-development programs. In addition, the company appointed senior defense industry and precision-guided munitions executives to lead its defense expansion and executed targeted third-party capital increases to finance the construction of dedicated domestic missile production and MRO facilities.
