Business
Harim Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based integrated agribusiness and food processing company primarily engaged in poultry farming, meat processing, animal feed production, and the manufacturing of consumer packaged food products. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Iksan, South Korea, the company operates as a core operating subsidiary of Harim Holdings Co., Ltd. Harim Co., Ltd. manages a fully vertically integrated farm-to-table operational infrastructure encompassing parent stock breeding, hatchery operations, feed manufacturing, contract rearing, automated slaughtering, advanced processing, and temperature-controlled cold-chain distribution. The company segments its commercial offerings into Fresh Poultry, Processed Meat Products, Home Meal Replacements (HMR) and Packaged Foods, Animal Feed, and Agribusiness By-Products. Its core products and services include: fresh, chilled, and frozen whole chickens; specialized poultry cuts such as breasts, thighs, wings, drumsticks, and tenderloins; animal-welfare-certified and antibiotic-free premium poultry marketed under the Nature's Gift (Jayeonsillok) and Freshup brand names; fresh whole chicken tailored for traditional ginseng chicken soup (samgyetang); value-added processed poultry products comprising breaded chicken cutlets, nuggets, patties, and tenders under the Yonggari Chicken brand; poultry-based sausages, frankfurters, and smoked chicken portions; high-protein functional snacks, steamed chicken breast fillets, and chicken jerky; shelf-stable and chilled ready-to-eat meal solutions, premium instant noodles, artisanal bone broths, retort stews, and instant pre-cooked white rice marketed under The Gourmet (The Mishik) brand; complete blended animal feeds for poultry, swine, and ruminants; and biological by-products such as feather meal and animal fats utilized in industrial and pet food applications. Harim Co., Ltd. serves a diverse customer base spanning retail supermarket chains, convenience stores, online e-commerce platforms, quick-service restaurant franchises, school catering programs, institutional food service providers, and livestock farmers, distributing primarily across South Korea with select processed poultry exports to regional markets in Asia and North America. In recent strategic developments, Harim Co., Ltd. has accelerated its expansion from traditional poultry processing into higher-margin gourmet consumer foods by aggressively scaling its flagship Home Meal Replacement and instant noodle lineup under The Gourmet (The Mishik) brand, broadening its offerings with new premium ramen flavors, ready-to-eat stews, and packaged rice variants. The company has also expanded its wellness and functional protein portfolio with ready-to-eat chicken breast bars and ready-to-cook meal kits designed for health-conscious and single-person households. Operationally, Harim has completed technological modernizations across its core Iksan smart processing complex, incorporating European automated air-chilling systems, automated evisceration, and digital cold-chain monitoring to enhance food safety and production yield. Additionally, the company has broadened its network of certified animal-welfare contract farms, implemented eco-friendly packaging initiatives, and deepened operational synergies across the broader Harim Group network to optimize raw feed grain procurement, cold-chain transport, and nationwide logistics.
