Business
NANO Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based environmental fine chemical and clean technology company principally engaged in the research, development, and manufacturing of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalysts and environmental systems for the removal of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from industrial and mobile emission sources. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, the company serves power generation utilities, petrochemical plants, industrial manufacturing facilities, marine shipbuilders, and the automotive sector across domestic and international markets, including China, Europe, and Southeast Asia. The company operates across multiple specialized product categories and environmental service segments. Its core product and service portfolio comprises: Honeycomb-type, plate-type, and corrugated-type Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalysts engineered for NOx decomposition in utility boilers, gas turbines, waste incinerators, and industrial furnaces; catalytic raw materials, primarily specialized high-purity anatase titanium dioxide (TiO2) powder, tungsten trioxide (WO3), and active chemical precursors used in catalyst manufacturing; marine SCR catalyst modules and complete de-NOx systems designed for commercial vessels to satisfy International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier III emission regulations; automotive emission control products, including diesel oxidation catalysts and particulate filter technologies; catalyst management and testing services, including laboratory deactivation analysis, performance diagnostics, ultrasonic cleaning, chemical reactivation, and spent catalyst regeneration; and environmental plant engineering solutions, encompassing electrostatic precipitators, ducting, and customized air pollution control systems. In recent developments, NANO Co., Ltd. has undertaken significant strategic and operational initiatives to broaden its market reach and technological scope. The company has expanded its commercial penetration in the maritime sector by securing new supply contracts for marine SCR catalysts with major South Korean and international shipbuilders adapting to stringent international decarbonization and NOx reduction regulations. Leveraging its core proprietary expertise in titanium dioxide synthesis and nano-powder surface engineering, the company has also diversified into functional materials for secondary batteries and specialty electronic chemical applications. Additionally, NANO Co., Ltd. has advanced the automation and capacity expansion of its domestic production facilities in Sangju and restructured operations across its overseas subsidiaries in China and Europe to improve supply chain resilience, support global industrial de-NOx project tenders, and service long-term replacement catalyst contracts for public power generation utilities.
