KANGDONG C&L Co., Ltd., formerly known as Koryo Cement Co., Ltd., is a South Korea-based corporate entity operating across the building materials, leisure and hospitality, and real estate development sectors. Originally established in 1962 and headquartered in Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, South Korea, the company operates as an affiliate of the Kangdong Group, supplying foundational construction materials across South Korea while managing commercial leisure assets. The company operates through two core business segments: Construction Materials and Leisure. In its Construction Materials division, KANGDONG C&L produces and distributes industrial binding and aggregate solutions, including ordinary Portland cement (OPC); blast-furnace slag cement (blended cement); ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBFS) powder; fly ash; specialty cements; ready-mixed concrete (remicon); and crushed stone aggregates for civil engineering, commercial construction, and residential development projects. In its Leisure division, the company manages major tourism and recreational facilities in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, providing services that include condominium lodging and hospitality at Kangdong Resort (formerly Blue One Resort); 27-hole championship golf course operations at Kangdong The Honors Country Club; indoor and outdoor water park entertainment at Kangdong Water Park; and corporate banquet, dining, and wellness amenities. In recent corporate developments, the company officially rebranded from Koryo Cement Co., Ltd. to KANGDONG C&L Co., Ltd. in June 2024 to signify its dual strategic focus on Cement and Leisure. In July 2024, the company executed a major business expansion by acquiring the Blue One Gyeongju leisure business complex from the Taeyoung Group for approximately KRW 132 billion. Additionally, following the permanent decommissioning of its historic clinker production facility in Jangseong in 2023 to optimize operational efficiencies and resolve regional environmental concerns, KANGDONG C&L transitioned its materials business toward distribution logistics and slag blending while advancing urban redevelopment initiatives for the former factory site in partnership with local municipal authorities.
