Business
RoboRobo Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based edutech and educational robotics company that specializes in the research, design, manufacturing, and distribution of educational robot hardware, coding software platforms, and integrated STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) curricula. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company provides learning solutions tailored for learners ranging from early childhood to secondary and tertiary education levels. The company operates through integrated product and service lines, offering systematic hardware and software packages that include: UARO, an unplugged, screen-free tactile coding robot system designed for preschool and kindergarten learners utilizing NFC-enabled command blocks; AIKIRO (I-Kiro), a modular creative robotics kit engineered for early elementary students; RoboKit, a multi-stage educational robotics platform incorporating microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and mechanical frames for intermediate to advanced elementary and middle school students; Ro-e, a card-based interactive coding robot; and DIY-GO, an artificial intelligence-focused robotics kit supporting machine vision, object recognition, autonomous navigation, and dual-mode block-based and Python programming. In addition to hardware, RoboRobo develops proprietary software environments, led by its GUI-based programming platforms ROGIC and Smart Rogic; produces standardized textbooks, workbooks, and digital teaching materials; and delivers instructor training programs, school competition frameworks, and turnkey after-school curriculum services. RoboRobo serves public elementary and middle schools, private cram schools (hagwons), daycare centers, kindergartens, and direct-to-consumer retail markets domestically, while maintaining an international export footprint spanning more than 40 countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. In recent strategic and operational developments, RoboRobo has actively shifted its business model from traditional hardware manufacturing toward advanced AI edutech solutions and direct private-sector education. To mitigate domestic demographic changes in public after-school enrollment, the company expanded its commercial footprint into specialized private academies by launching and scaling its proprietary offline learning center brand, RoboRobo Coding Lab, opening dedicated centers in regional hubs such as Wirye and Busan. Concurrently, the company enhanced its technological portfolio through the release of AI-integrated robotics hardware and software solutions, updated its core coding curriculum to incorporate Python and computer vision modules, and pursued global collaborative initiatives, including STEM content partnerships with global technology companies, to drive overseas adoption of its educational platforms.
