- Mobiis Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based technology company that specializes in the engineering, development, and commercialization of ultra-precision instrumentation, control systems, and software solutions for large-scale scientific research infrastructure and industrial smart manufacturing environments. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company operates across two principal business divisions: Big Science Solutions and Smart Factory Solutions. Within its Big Science business, the company develops and supplies EPICS-based (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System) integrated control architectures; Low-Level Radio Frequency (LLRF) controllers for RF amplitude and phase regulation; Solid-State Amplifiers (SSA); Beam Position Monitors (BPM) and beam diagnostics hardware; undulator control systems; Central Interlock Systems (CIS) for equipment safety and machine protection; Master Controllers for Coil Power Supply Systems (CPSS); and MBigCS, a proprietary integrated control and data acquisition platform tailored for particle accelerators and nuclear fusion reactors. Within its Smart Factory business, Mobiis provides the QRP (Quality, Reliability, Productivity) integrated manufacturing software suite, comprising Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) modules, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and machine learning-driven artificial intelligence systems for automated visual inspection, process anomaly detection, and real-time equipment optimization. The company caters to governmental research institutions, high-energy physics laboratories, and precision manufacturing enterprises across South Korea, Europe, and Asia, serving key facilities including the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) in Cadarache, France, the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory X-ray Free-Electron Laser (PAL-XFEL), and the RAON Heavy Ion Accelerator in South Korea. In recent corporate developments, Mobiis completed the divestment of its majority stake in clinical research organization ADM Korea Inc. to refocus operations on its core scientific instrumentation and industrial automation segments. In late 2025, the company entered into an agreement regarding a management control and equity transfer with Innovation Asset Management aimed at quantum computing and AI initiatives, which Mobiis formally terminated in February 2026 following payment default by the buyer, subsequently engaging in legal resolution proceedings. Additionally, the company expanded its commercial AI footprint by securing multi-site contracts to implement autonomous smart factory manufacturing AI systems for industrial automotive clients, including BorgWarner Changnyeong and Neotech.
