mPlus Corp. is a South Korea-based industrial automation company primarily engaged in the development, manufacture, and distribution of automated assembly equipment for secondary lithium-ion batteries. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, the company provides specialized manufacturing machinery and custom turnkey assembly lines utilized in the fabrication of battery cells for electric vehicles (EVs), energy storage systems (ESS), and portable electronic devices. The company operates through a specialized secondary battery manufacturing equipment segment. Its core product portfolio encompasses full-process cell assembly solutions, including: mechanical and roll-to-roll laser notching equipment for precision shaping and cutting of cathode and anode tabs; high-speed Z-stacking and lamination-stacking systems for precise interleaving of electrodes and separator membranes; ultrasonic and fiber laser tab-to-lead welding machinery; pouch forming, deep-drawing, and side-folding presses; vacuum electrolyte filling and pre-sealing units; degassing and secondary sealing equipment; prismatic cell assembly systems, including jelly-roll/stack insertion, cap welding, and can sealing machinery; and integrated automated material transfer, visual inspection, and quality assurance systems. Additionally, mPlus Corp. provides engineering design, line integration, factory automation consulting, and lifecycle maintenance services. mPlus Corp. markets its equipment to major secondary battery manufacturers and automotive joint ventures across South Korea, China, Europe, and North America. The company operates multiple manufacturing facilities in Cheongju and maintains global technical support and customer service operations to service international gigafactory deployments. In recent developments, mPlus Corp. has strategically broadened its product portfolio from pouch-type battery equipment to comprehensive automated assembly systems for prismatic and cylindrical battery formats. The company has expanded into next-generation battery technologies through the development and commercialization of pilot-scale assembly machinery for all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) and dry electrode manufacturing applications. To support growing international order backlogs, mPlus Corp. has expanded its manufacturing capacity across its Cheongju facilities, secured supply agreements with global tier-one battery manufacturers expanding across North America and Europe, and deployed advanced high-throughput laser notching and high-speed stacking technologies designed to maximize cell production speeds and manufacturing yields.
