Business
Kumyang Green Power Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based electrical engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and renewable energy development company. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Ulsan, South Korea, the company specializes in electrical, instrumentation, and control (E&I) engineering for industrial plants, civil infrastructure, utility power stations, and clean energy facilities. Kumyang Green Power operates through three primary business divisions: Industrial Plant Electrical & Instrumentation, Renewable Energy EPC & Development, and Facility Maintenance & Commissioning Services. The company provides a comprehensive portfolio of specialized technical solutions and construction services, including: heavy industrial electrical installation services comprising high-voltage transmission lines, substation construction, power distribution networks, switchgear assembly, motor control center (MCC) installation, cable tray fabrication, and industrial lighting systems for petrochemical complexes, oil refineries, and thermal power plants; instrumentation and control engineering comprising distributed control system (DCS) installation, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) network integration, process sensor configuration, field calibration, loop checking, and integrated plant commissioning; renewable energy EPC solutions encompassing site evaluation, engineering design, procurement, construction, and grid interconnection for utility-scale ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities, rooftop solar systems, floating solar arrays, onshore wind farms, fixed-bottom offshore wind farms, and floating offshore wind installations; clean power infrastructure comprising hydrogen fuel cell power plant design, balance of plant (BOP) construction, and utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS); and operation and maintenance (O&M) services, including preventive and corrective electrical maintenance, facility turnaround management, diagnostic electrical testing, equipment modernization, and renewable asset performance monitoring. The company serves domestic public power utilities, global industrial conglomerates, independent power producers (IPPs), and major engineering contractors across South Korea, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. In recent developments, Kumyang Green Power completed its initial public offering on the KOSDAQ market to accelerate its strategic transformation from an electrical subcontractor into an integrated renewable energy developer and independent power producer. The company has substantially expanded its direct equity investments in renewable energy special purpose companies (SPCs), securing development, EPC, and long-term operations and maintenance rights for utility-scale onshore and offshore wind farms, commercial solar projects, and fuel cell power plants in South Korea. Kumyang Green Power has also entered into strategic partnerships and consortium agreements with international clean energy developers and regional public utility companies to participate in utility-scale offshore wind projects off the coasts of Ulsan and Jeollanam-do. In addition, the company continues to expand its overseas industrial plant portfolio by securing electrical and instrumentation packages for large-scale energy and petrochemical plant projects in the Middle East and Southeast Asia in collaboration with tier-one engineering partners.
