C&R Research Inc. operates as a full-service contract research organization providing comprehensive clinical development, regulatory consulting, and digital data solutions to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies worldwide. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company manages clinical trials across all phases of development, from Phase I through Phase IV, as well as post-marketing surveillance, investigator-initiated trials, and observational studies. The company provides a systematic portfolio of services and proprietary technologies, including clinical trial design, protocol development, and medical writing; clinical trial monitoring, project management, and site management organization services; regulatory affairs, IND and NDA submission consulting, and health authority liaison; data management, electronic case report form design, and biostatistical analysis; pharmacovigilance, medical monitoring, and safety database management; central laboratory sample analysis and bioanalytical coordination; BOIM, an integrated electronic data capture and clinical trial management system; ImageTrial, a specialized medical image analysis and management platform; and CsafeR, an automated adverse event and drug safety management platform. The company supports clinical programs across diverse therapeutic areas, including oncology, cardiovascular disease, central nervous system disorders, immunology, endocrinology, dermatology, ophthalmology, and rare diseases. Geographically, C&R Research conducts operations through its headquarters in Seoul, regional offices across South Korea, and international operating subsidiaries and branches in the United States, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia, supported by affiliate partnerships with Trial Informatics, GCCL, C&R SMO, and ABC Biosciences. In recent corporate developments, C&R Research has strategically expanded its global footprint and accelerated its evolution into a data-driven clinical research organization. In January 2026, the company acquired medical software developer Mediplexus for approximately KRW 4.8 billion to integrate advanced clinical data analytics and real-world evidence capabilities into its core clinical trial infrastructure. To expand its Asia-Pacific and international trial execution network, the company established an operating entity in Indonesia and entered into a strategic collaboration with local contract research organization Equilab International in early 2026. In May 2026, C&R Research formed a strategic technology partnership with Taimei Technology to deploy artificial intelligence-powered clinical operations platforms and automate trial workflow management. Furthermore, the company expanded its multinational clinical footprint through a co-execution partnership with US-based Advanced Clinical for global Phase II rare disease studies, secured large-scale multinational Phase III trial contracts with major pharmaceutical clients including Daewoong Pharmaceutical, and executed a memorandum of understanding with Gangnam Severance Hospital in September 2026 to enhance global validation pathways for digital health solutions and innovative diagnostic medical devices.
