Business
Curacle Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that specializes in the discovery, research, and development of innovative therapeutics for intractable microvascular, metabolic, and inflammatory disorders. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company focuses on targeting vascular endothelial dysfunction, utilizing proprietary drug discovery platforms to develop oral small-molecule treatments and therapeutic biologics. Curacle conducts its research, preclinical, and clinical operations primarily in South Korea while managing international clinical trials and commercial partnerships across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. The company structures its core activities around proprietary drug discovery platforms and a clinical pipeline spanning multiple therapeutic categories: the SOLVADYS platform, an assay and screening platform engineered to identify oral endothelial dysfunction blockers that protect and restore vascular integrity; the EAGLES platform, an antibody-engineering platform focused on multi-specific biologics; CU06 (Rivasterat), an oral small-molecule vascular endothelial dysfunction blocker developed for the treatment of retinal vascular diseases, including diabetic macular edema and wet age-related macular degeneration; CU01, an oral clinical candidate indicated for diabetic nephropathy and renal fibrosis; MT-103 (MMT-205), a bispecific antibody designed to target Tie2 and VEGF pathways for refractory retinal vascular conditions; MT-101, an intravenous monoclonal antibody candidate indicated for acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease; MT-201 and MT-202, monoclonal and bispecific antibody candidates for thrombotic diseases; CP01-R01, an oral veterinary drug candidate in clinical development for chronic kidney disease in companion animals; and early-stage discovery programs comprising CU71 for neurodegenerative diseases, CU72 for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and CU73 for cardiovascular thrombosis. The company additionally maintains specialized active pharmaceutical ingredient synthesis and analytical capabilities via the Curacle Advanced Institute of Technology. In recent strategic developments, Curacle entered into an exclusive global out-licensing and co-development agreement in May 2026 valued at up to 1.078 billion USD with United States-based Memento Medicines, alongside co-developer MabTics, transferring worldwide development and commercialization rights for the bispecific antibody MT-103 (MMT-205). Furthermore, Curacle regained full global development and commercial rights to its lead oral ophthalmology asset CU06 following the conclusion of its international licensing partnership with Laboratoires Théa, enabling the company to lead global clinical and commercial advancement independently. Operationally, Curacle completed its United States Phase 2a clinical trial evaluating CU06 in patients with diabetic macular edema, advanced Phase 2b clinical evaluations for CU01 in diabetic kidney disease, and broadened its research capabilities through the integration of artificial intelligence-assisted molecular discovery tools.
