HWASEUNG R&A CO. LTD. is a South Korea-based automotive component manufacturer that specializes in the engineering, production, and distribution of elastomeric sealing systems and fluid transfer components for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the global automotive industry. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Yangsan-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea, the company operates as the automotive parts arm of Hwaseung Group, functioning as a dedicated operating entity following its corporate spin-off from Hwaseung Corporation in March 2021. The company organizes its business into two primary segments: Sealing Systems and Fluid Systems. Its Sealing Systems product portfolio encompasses an extensive range of automotive rubber weatherstrips engineered for acoustic insulation, vibration dampening, dust protection, and water resistance, including door opening weatherstrips; glass run channels; trunk lid seals; sunroof weatherstrips; inner and outer door belt moldings; hood seals; cowl top seals; and modular windshield encapsulations. Its Fluid Systems portfolio comprises high-performance elastomeric and thermoplastic fluid transfer assemblies designed for engine, chassis, and thermal management operations, including air conditioning hose assemblies; power steering high-pressure and suction return hoses; hydraulic brake hoses and vacuum booster lines; engine radiator and heater hoses; intercooler and turbocharger duct hoses; fuel delivery and filler neck hoses; and transmission oil cooling lines. In alignment with automotive electrification and decarbonization initiatives, HWASEUNG R&A CO. LTD. offers advanced green mobility solutions, including electric vehicle (EV) battery pack cooling hoses; integrated coolant distribution modules; low-permeability refrigerant lines for heat pump systems; and specialized exhaust and water drainage lines for hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). The company supplies major domestic and multinational automobile manufacturers, including Hyundai Motor Company, Kia Corporation, General Motors, BMW Group, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, and Volkswagen, supporting its customer base through production and distribution operations across South Korea, the United States, Mexico, China, India, Turkey, Vietnam, Brazil, and Germany. Recent corporate developments include the execution of its strategic transition toward next-generation eco-friendly vehicle components following the 2021 spin-off, expanding contract wins for EV thermal management lines on dedicated global EV platforms. HWASEUNG R&A CO. LTD. has accelerated smart factory automation through the implementation of artificial intelligence-driven process verification systems across its manufacturing facilities, expanded research and development in lightweight thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) materials, and reconfigured its international production network to meet regionalized supply chain requirements across North American, European, and Asian automotive manufacturing hubs.
