Business
BBIA Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based beauty and cosmetics company engaged in the planning, product development, marketing, and distribution of color cosmetics, base makeup, and personal skincare products. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Incheon, South Korea, the company operates an asset-light business model utilizing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and original design manufacturer (ODM) partnerships to produce a diverse portfolio of beauty products. BBIA categorizes its offerings across four primary brand lines: BBIA, its flagship color cosmetics label specializing in pigmented lip and eye makeup; ABOUT_TONE, a complexion-focused brand specializing in base makeup and powder pacts; EDIT.B, a derma-cosmetics line focused on functional skincare; and EGLIPS, a daily makeup brand offering accessible cosmetics. The company's product portfolio comprises lip cosmetics, including velvet lip tints, water lip tints, glosses, lip liners, and lipsticks; eye cosmetics, including auto gel eyeliners, eyeshadow palettes, liquid eyeliners, eyebrow pencils, and mascaras; base and complexion cosmetics, including blur powder pacts, glow setting powders, liquid foundations, and concealers; skincare products, including facial sunscreens, soothing cica serums, hydrating toners, and cleansing waters; and cosmetic accessories, including makeup brushes, sponges, and puff applicators. BBIA serves mass-market retail consumers, beauty professionals, and digital shoppers across domestic and global markets. Domestically, the company distributes through large-scale health and beauty store networks, such as Olive Young, as well as multi-brand retail outlets and direct-to-consumer e-commerce channels. Internationally, the company sells across key overseas markets, including Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, and North America, supported by regional subsidiaries and authorized distribution partners such as BBIA Japan and ActsOne Vietnam. In recent major developments, BBIA completed a public listing on the KOSDAQ market in April 2024 through a merger with Shinyoung Happy Tomorrow No. 7 Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), following its corporate name change from SKY007 Co., Ltd. to BBIA Co., Ltd. In addition, the company significantly expanded the brick-and-mortar retail footprint of its ABOUT_TONE brand across more than 700 Olive Young stores nationwide, achieved substantial export growth in Japan through dedicated pop-up retail campaigns and major variety store placements, broadened its skincare presence through the rollout of EDIT.B, and implemented corporate share repurchase programs to enhance shareholder value.
