Business
Kuwait Projects Company Holding (K.S.C.P.), commonly known as KIPCO, is a multi-sector investment holding enterprise engaged in the ownership, management, and growth of diversified businesses across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Kuwait City, State of Kuwait, the group operates across key economic sectors including financial services, energy and petrochemicals, media and telecommunications, real estate, food and consumer goods, healthcare, and education. The company provides a wide array of specialized products and services organized into distinct operating segments: in commercial and investment banking, it offers retail banking accounts, consumer financing, corporate lending, trade finance, treasury services, private banking, asset management, and investment advisory services through Burgan Bank, United Gulf Holding Company, and KAMCO Invest; in energy, petrochemicals, and industrial services, it manufactures and distributes ethylene glycol, polyethylene, paraxylene, styrene, oilfield maintenance supplies, chemical blends, and industrial utility solutions through investments such as EQUATE Petrochemical Company, The Kuwait Olefins Company, and United Oil Projects; in media and telecommunications, it delivers direct-to-home satellite television broadcasting, digital subscription video-on-demand streaming services, and digital entertainment content distribution under the Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) and OSN+ brands; in real estate and hospitality, it engages in master-planned property development, commercial and residential leasing, property management, and hospitality operations through United Real Estate Company (URC), anchored by major mixed-use projects such as the Hessah District; in food and consumer manufacturing, it produces and distributes long-life milk, dairy products, juices, tomato paste, and ambient food items under the Saudia brand through Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO); in healthcare, it manages medical centers, dental clinics, and diagnostic laboratories through United Medical Services; and in education, it provides international K-12 academic curricula through the American United School of Kuwait. In recent strategic developments, KIPCO completed a transformative merger with Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC), integrating major petrochemical, industrial, and consumer assets to significantly diversify its consolidated balance sheet and operational cash flows. The group also closed a landmark media transaction combining its video streaming service, OSN+, with MENA music and audio platform Anghami, establishing a unified streaming powerhouse in which the group holds a majority ownership. Furthermore, the company continues its active balance sheet optimization and debt reprofiling program through the issuance of local and international bonds under its Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) framework, alongside strategic restructuring and capital reallocation within its regional banking franchises to enhance operational efficiency.
