Business
National Industries Company (NICBM) is a Kuwait-based industrial manufacturing company primarily engaged in the production, marketing, and distribution of building materials and infrastructure solutions. Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Shuwaikh, Kuwait, the company operates as a key subsidiary of National Industries Group (Holding) and is publicly traded on Boursa Kuwait. The company operates across multiple industrial segments through an extensive network of over 16 factories and quarry operations, manufacturing and supplying a comprehensive portfolio of construction products, including: autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks, sand-lime bricks, hollow and solid concrete blocks, and decorative cladding bricks; interlock pavers, terrazzo tiles, kerbstones, and precast architectural landscaping elements; high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene random copolymer (PPR), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (cPVC), and unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC) piping systems and fittings for water supply, sewage, drainage, electrical conduit, and cable ducting applications; ready-mix concrete, dry mortar mixes, tile adhesives, repair mortars, and grouting compounds; ceramic and porcelain wall and floor tiles; architectural and protective paint coatings, including textured acrylic finishes, solvent-based paints, and water-based emulsions; and raw quarry materials including crushed limestone, gravel, and construction aggregates. In addition to serving domestic civil engineering, commercial, and residential infrastructure markets in Kuwait, the company extends its geographic presence across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the broader Middle East through direct exports as well as regional subsidiaries and affiliates, including Industries Company for Building Systems, Bina'a Al-Kuwait Real Estate, National Industries Ceramic Company, United Gulf Pipe Manufacturing Company in Oman, Insulated Building Systems Company in Bahrain, and equity interests in regional lime and building material producers. Recent corporate and operational developments include the execution of an in-kind share distribution of NICBM equity by parent entity National Industries Group (Holding) to its shareholders to broaden the investor base and enhance trading liquidity on Boursa Kuwait. Operationally, the company has expanded its raw aggregate import and supply chain logistics to support large-scale national infrastructure projects, while advancing continuous modernization and automation programs across its primary manufacturing plants in Sulaibiya and Western Shuaiba to expand capacity, enhance production efficiency, and introduce higher-performance, eco-friendly building material formulations.
