Business
Labrador Gold Corp. is a Canadian hybrid mining and investment issuer engaged in the acquisition, exploration and advancement of prospective gold and multi-metal mineral properties, principally in Canada. The Company’s exploration portfolio includes the Kingsway Gold Project near Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, targeting high-grade gold mineralization along the Appleton Fault Zone; the Hopedale Gold Project in Labrador’s Florence Lake greenstone belt, comprising gold prospects and occurrences with additional potential for nickel, copper, cobalt, silver, zinc and volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization; the Borden Lake Extension property near Chapleau, Ontario, located adjacent to the Borden gold mining district and prospective for gold; and the Watson Project in northwestern Ontario’s Fort Hope Greenstone Belt, where exploration is focused on gold and critical minerals including antimony, nickel, copper and zinc. The Company also holds interests in exploration properties and opportunities in the Yukon, including the Mariposa and Eureka Dome projects in the White Gold District. Its principal activities include geological mapping; prospecting; soil, rock and lake-sediment geochemical sampling; trenching; geophysical surveys; drilling; target generation; mineral-property acquisition; optioning and joint-venture arrangements; and investment in junior resource issuers. Labrador Gold principally serves the mineral exploration and mining sector through the generation and advancement of early-stage mineral exploration assets. The Company was incorporated in 1987, changed its name from Nikos Explorations Ltd. to Labrador Gold Corp. in December 2017, and is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In 2026, Labrador Gold completed a change of business approved by the TSX Venture Exchange and shareholders, transitioning to a hybrid mining/investment issuer while retaining the Labrador Gold Corp. name and the TSX Venture Exchange symbol LAB. As part of this strategic shift, the Company acquired 16.67 million units of Northern Shield Resources Inc., consisting of common shares and warrants, representing approximately 10.86% of Northern Shield on a non-diluted basis immediately following the transaction, and obtained pre-emptive participation rights and the right to appoint a technical advisor while maintaining a specified equity interest. Labrador Gold also entered into an option agreement with Pacific Ridge Exploration Ltd. for the Mariposa and Eureka Dome projects in Yukon’s White Gold District, closing the first tranche in July 2026 through a C$100,000 cash option payment and issuance of 800,000 common shares to Pacific Ridge, while commencing exploration programs at both projects. In August 2026, the Company completed a US$1.41 million investment in San Cristobal Mining Inc. In addition, Labrador Gold announced an agreement to form a joint venture with Nemo Resources Inc., through Elementary Minerals Inc., to explore the Watson Project in northwestern Ontario. The Company remains an exploration-stage issuer and does not generate significant operating revenue.
