Liberty Energy Inc. (NYSE: LBRT) provides hydraulic fracturing and related completion services and technologies to onshore oil and natural gas exploration and production companies primarily in North America. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the company offers wireline services including pumpdown perforating; proppant delivery solutions through its PropX subsidiary; premium proppants from Freedom Proppant mines in the Permian Basin; field gas processing and treating; compressed natural gas delivery; data analytics; sand mine operations; well site fueling and logistics; and natural gas-fueled power generation via Liberty Power Innovations for data centers, industrial facilities, and utility-scale applications. Liberty operates a fleet of approximately 40 active hydraulic fracturing units, two sand mines, and advanced equipment such as Quiet Fleet electric fracturing fleets, digiFrac platforms for real-time monitoring, digiPrime natural gas variable speed engines developed with Cummins, and hybrid solutions from its Liberty Advanced Equipment Technology division; it serves major basins including the Permian, Eagle Ford, and Appalachia across the United States and Canada with about 5,700 employees. The company, formerly Liberty Oilfield Services Inc., changed its name in April 2022 following its 2023 combination with Nextier Oilfield Solutions and earlier acquisitions including PropX in 2021, Schlumberger's North American pressure pumping business in 2020, Siren Energy in 2023, and IMG Energy Solutions in 2025. Recent developments include strategic alliances such as with Oklo Inc. in 2025 for integrated natural gas and nuclear power solutions, DC Grid for modular DC power systems, AltitudeX Aviation Group for microgrid development in Colorado, Imperial Land Corporation and Range Resources for energy projects in Pennsylvania, and partnerships in Pennsylvania and Colorado for data center power; Liberty expanded power capacity to over one gigawatt through 2027, dual-listed on NYSE Texas, appointed Ron Gusek as CEO in 2025 succeeding Chris Wright who transitioned amid his nomination as U.S. Secretary of Energy, added Arjun Murti to its board, launched the Bettering Human Lives Foundation, and completed field tests of digiPrime technology and PropX slurry systems.
