Business
Lifeward Ltd. (Nasdaq: LFWD) designs, develops, and commercializes powered exoskeletons and rehabilitation technologies that enable mobility, gait training, and wellness for individuals with lower limb disabilities, spinal cord injuries, stroke, and neurological conditions. The company offers ReWalk Personal and Rehabilitation Exoskeletons for upright walking, turning, and stair navigation; ReStore soft exo-suit for stroke rehabilitation and functional gait restoration; AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill systems for body weight-supported physical therapy, neurological rehabilitation, and athletic training; MyoCycle functional electrical stimulation (FES) cycle devices for therapeutic leg cycling in clinical and home settings; and ReBoot soft exo-suit for post-stroke home and community mobility. Lifeward markets its products directly to hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and individuals, as well as through distributors, serving the United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and other international markets. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Yokneam Illit, Israel, with principal U.S. operations in Marlborough, Massachusetts, the company formerly operated as ReWalk Robotics Ltd. prior to its rebranding to Lifeward Ltd. in September 2024. Recent developments include FDA clearance and U.S. launch of the next-generation ReWalk 7 Personal Exoskeleton in April 2025, achieving record Medicare placements and over 130 qualified U.S. leads; executive appointments of Mark Grant as President and CEO and Almog Adar as CFO in 2025 to drive growth; operational streamlining through closure of two U.S. facilities and manufacturing outsourcing to Cirtronics, targeting $3 million in annual savings and 200 basis point gross margin improvement in 2025 following the 2023 AlterG acquisition integration; and strengthened global manufacturing and partnerships in Israel, Germany, and Massachusetts.
