Business
Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (NYSE:LGF-B) operates as a diversified entertainment company focused on motion picture and television production and distribution in the United States, Canada and internationally. The company produces and distributes feature films through its Lionsgate Films division, including franchises such as The Hunger Games, John Wick, Saw and Rambo; develops and distributes television series, movies, mini-series and non-fiction programming via Lionsgate Television, encompassing approximately 75 shows across 40 networks; and manages a library exceeding 20,000 film and television titles with worldwide licensing, home entertainment and digital media distribution. It maintains operations through segments including Motion Picture, Television Production and legacy Media Networks elements, serving theatrical, streaming, broadcast and packaged media markets with subsidiaries like Summit Entertainment and remnants of Entertainment One. Founded in 1997 by Frank Giustra and headquartered in Santa Monica, California, the company recently completed a strategic separation of its studio operations into Lionsgate Studios Corp.
