Legence Corp. (NasdaqGS: LGN) provides engineering, consulting, installation, fabrication, and maintenance services for mission-critical systems in technically demanding buildings, including data centers, technology, life sciences, healthcare, and education facilities; its core offerings encompass mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering and design, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, process piping, energy efficiency strategies, sustainability consulting, program and project management, building commissioning, preventative and corrective maintenance, and upgrades to lighting and building controls for enhanced energy efficiency and resiliency. Headquartered in San Jose, California, the company traces its origins to 1914 and operates through more than 70 offices across 20 U.S. states, serving over 60% of Nasdaq-100 companies with a workforce exceeding 6,000 engineers, consultants, technicians, and craftspeople. Legence completed its initial public offering on Nasdaq in September 2025 at a valuation of approximately $3.2 billion following its backing by Blackstone, which acquired and rebranded predecessor Therma in 2020; recent strategic acquisitions include Bowers + Kukovec in November 2025 for $475 million to bolster mechanical fabrication and data center presence in the greater Washington, D.C. region, Innovative Mechanical & Design (IMD) in Colorado in December 2025 to expand fabrication and maintenance for Fortune 100 clients, and earlier 2023-2024 deals such as Shadpour Consulting Engineers, OCI Associates, P2S, A.O. Reed & Co., and Corporate Sustainability Strategies to enhance MEP expertise, geographic footprint, and sustainability services amid strong revenue growth driven by data center demand.
