- Latin Metals Inc. operates as a mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, generation, exploration and evaluation of copper, gold and silver properties in South America. The Company employs a prospect-generator business model, advancing early-stage mineral targets through geological mapping, geochemical and geophysical surveys, prospecting, sampling, target generation, permitting and drill-target definition, before securing option, earn-in, joint-venture and royalty arrangements with mining-industry partners to finance more capital-intensive exploration and potential development. Its portfolio comprises principally copper, gold and silver exploration projects in Peru and Argentina, including the Lacsha copper project in Peru’s Lima Department and Argentine precious- and base-metal exploration assets; the Company also retains or seeks net smelter returns royalty interests and minority project exposure as projects are advanced by partners. Latin Metals markets its project-generation and exploration services primarily to established mining companies seeking access to prospective, early-stage exploration opportunities in the Andean region. The Company was founded in 2006, was formerly known as Centenera Mining Corporation before adopting the Latin Metals Inc. name in May 2019, and is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In February 2026, the Company completed or advanced the court-approved spin-out of its Para and Auquis copper projects into Latin Explore Inc., separating those assets into a distinct company. In August 2026, Latin Metals entered into a letter of intent with Minsur S.A. under which Minsur may earn a 75% interest in the wholly owned Lacsha Copper Project through US$2.62 million of cash payments and 60,000 metres of funded drilling over six years; the arrangement provides a pathway to a full project acquisition, potential aggregate cash consideration of up to US$42.62 million and a retained royalty interest for Latin Metals, subject to definitive agreements and the exercise of applicable options. Also in August 2026, the Company entered into a services, data-use and royalty agreement with Geomorphic AI Corporation to apply artificial intelligence and geoscience tools to its proprietary Argentine exploration database, identify and rank prospective target areas, accelerate project acquisition and expand the pipeline of partner-funded exploration opportunities.
