Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP Building Solutions; NYSE: LPX), founded in 1973 and headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, manufactures and markets high-performance engineered wood building products for new residential construction, repair and remodeling, multifamily projects, light commercial facilities and outdoor structures worldwide. The company produces oriented strand board (OSB) sheathing, flooring and radiant barrier panels including LP TechShield; exterior siding and trim systems such as LP SmartSide and LP SmartSide ExpertFinish; engineered wood framing products including LP SolidStart laminated veneer lumber and I-joists; sub-flooring solutions like LP TopNotch 350, LP Legacy Premium and LP FlameBlock fire-rated sheathing; and air and water barriers such as LP WeatherLogic; with operations including mills across the United States, Canada, Chile and Brazil. LP sells its products through building materials distributors, dealers and retail home centers to homebuilders, remodelers and commercial builders, emphasizing sustainable, carbon-negative materials certified under standards like LEED, WELL and National Green Building Standard. In 2024, LP announced a nationwide partnership with homebuilder Lennar for SmartSide products; renewed its ForestryWorks collaboration and launched a new partnership with the First Nations Forestry Council in October 2025 to advance sustainable forestry workforce development and Indigenous scholarships; appointed Lynn Cobb as Vice President of Marketing to lead commercial strategy; celebrated the ribbon-cutting for a new global headquarters expansion in August 2025; and reported third-quarter 2025 results on November 5 with siding net sales up 5% year-over-year to $443 million amid softer OSB demand, reaffirming full-year guidance.
