Business
Flowtech Fluidpower plc supplies hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power products and delivers specialist engineering solutions, services and systems through a network of branches across the UK, Ireland and Benelux; its core offerings encompass consumables such as hoses, fittings, valves, cylinders, pumps, motors, filters, compressors, filtration equipment and tubing from over 2,900 brands; it also provides bespoke design, manufacturing, assembly, installation, commissioning, testing, servicing, repair and overhaul of fluid power systems, alongside turnkey MEICA engineering projects for industrial sectors including automotive, mobile equipment, transportation, data centres and infrastructure. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Wilmslow, England, the company targets distributors, resellers, original equipment manufacturers and end-users in maintenance, repair and operations across fragmented markets. Recent developments include the acquisitions of Allswage in March 2025, enhancing end-to-end service capabilities; Thomas Group on 1 May 2025, expanding product distribution in engine, filtration and fuel technologies with approximately £2m in revenue; and Thorite out of administration in August 2024, which returned to profitability within two months and contributes to 2025 growth; it also formed a partnership with SMC for fluid power control solutions, secured major contracts such as the Narrow Water Bridge project in Ireland and Rice Bridge remediation in Waterford, launched a new digital platform and website, and added a Leicester engineering centre while transitioning to a simplified country-led structure.
