Business
Oracle Power PLC (ORCP.L) is an international project developer focused on natural resources and energy projects, primarily in Pakistan and Australia. Incorporated in 2006 and headquartered in Cambridge, United Kingdom, the company develops a diverse portfolio of assets including the Thar Block VI project featuring a 1320MW coal-fired power plant and coal-to-gas/coal-to-liquids facilities in Pakistan's Sindh province; a 1GW Thar Solar park; a 1.3GW hybrid renewable energy project at Jhimpir with government letter of intent extended to May 2026; and a major green hydrogen and green ammonia production facility targeting 55,000 tonnes of hydrogen or 275,000 tonnes of ammonia annually using solar, wind and battery storage. In Australia, it advances the Northern Zone gold project near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, via a farm-in with Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL) where Riversgold holds 80% following a February 2025 option exercise and recent co-operation agreement for mining advancement; the Jundee East gold project; and the 2024-acquired Blue Rock Valley copper-silver project with ongoing geochemical sampling and exploration. The company partners with global entities in mining, energy and green hydrogen sectors, targeting high-growth emerging markets for power generation, renewable energy and critical minerals. Recent developments include a September 2025 application to convert the Northern Zone prospecting licence to a mining lease, progress toward formalizing a joint venture for the green hydrogen project split 70:30 with Kaheel Energy FZE (reducing Oracle's funding needs), completion of diamond drilling and topography surveys, a June 2023 offtake MoU with Petrochina for green hydrogen, a 2023 MoU with Global Green Growth Institute, and a £500,000 placing in 2025 alongside operational cash of £558,000 as of June 2025.
