The company offers deposit products including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, time deposits, and certificates of deposit; consumer and residential lending products such as single-family residential real estate loans, home equity lines of credit, new and used automobile loans, boat loans, credit cards including MercRewards+ with 2x points on groceries, gas, and dining, overdraft protection, and student loans in partnership with Sallie Mae; commercial and industrial loans, vacant land, land development, residential construction loans, owner- and non-owner-occupied real estate loans, multi-family and residential rental property loans, and business installment loans; treasury management services, merchant services with point-of-sale solutions, cash management tools, courier services, safe deposit boxes, and mobile and online banking platforms; specialized business offerings like Autobooks for invoicing and payments, MercForce workforce solutions integrating payroll, HR, benefits, and time tracking, MercPerks Plus checking with travel and dining perks, MercStart teen accounts, Visa Holiday Gift Cards, and Greenlight financial tools for families; wealth management services encompassing investment management, retirement planning, and trust services; and insurance products including private passenger automobile, homeowners, personal inland marine, boat owners, recreational vehicle, dwelling fire, umbrella, small business, and life insurance policies. Founded in 1997 and headquartered at 310 Leonard Street NW in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mercantile Bank Corporation maintains over 40 branches across Michigan with approximately $6.1 billion in assets as of recent reports.
