Business
Magnite, Inc. operates a prominent independent sell-side advertising platform globally, facilitating the digital ad ecosystem. The company furnishes comprehensive applications and services that empower digital advertising inventory owners, including those operating Connected TV (CTV) channels, mobile applications, and various digital media properties, to effectively manage and maximize their monetization. Concurrently, Magnite provides solutions for demand-side participants such as advertisers, agencies, and agency trading desks, enabling them to acquire diverse digital advertising inventory. The platform focuses on an omnichannel approach, supporting transactions across CTV, online video, display, and audio formats, leveraging its significant presence in the rapidly expanding CTV market. Its revenue model primarily involves charging fees as a percentage of the advertising spend processed through its advanced programmatic platform. Formed in April 2020 through the merger of Rubicon Project and Telaria, and subsequently rebranding to Magnite in July 2020, the company has since solidified its position through strategic acquisitions, including SpotX in 2021 to bolster its video capabilities and SpringServe in 2021 for enhanced CTV ad serving. More recently, in September 2025, Magnite acquired streamr.ai, integrating AI tools to broaden CTV advertising accessibility for small and medium-sized businesses. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Magnite extends its technology solutions to clients through dedicated sales teams operating across multiple international locations.
