Business
Gambero Rosso S.p.A. is an Italy-based multimedia, publishing, and professional education company that provides integrated media content, promotional platforms, vocational training, and advisory services specialized in the food, wine, travel, and hospitality sectors. Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Rome, Italy, the company is listed on Euronext Growth Milan (Ticker: GAMB) and operates under the broader media portfolio of Class Editori S.p.A. The company operates through integrated business divisions that deliver a comprehensive suite of products and services, including: specialized publishing operations comprising authoritative print and digital rating guides such as Vini d'Italia, Ristoranti d'Italia, Pizzerie d'Italia, Pasticceri & Pasticcerie, Bar d'Italia, and Oli d'Italia; trade and consumer periodicals, monthly magazines, and culinary reference books; multimedia and broadcast production delivered via the Gambero Rosso Channel on satellite television (Sky Italia) and over-the-top (OTT) digital platforms, featuring gastronomic series, culinary documentaries, and chef masterclasses; vocational education and executive training through the Gambero Rosso Academy, which manages specialized training centers across Rome, Naples, Palermo, and Catania, offering certified diploma courses in culinary arts, pastry making, sommelier certification, and hospitality management alongside consumer lifestyle courses; international event management and export promotion services, executing global business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) roadshows, wine tastings, culinary festivals, and trade exhibits across major international markets in Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific to promote the Made in Italy agri-food brand; and customized corporate consulting, brand endorsement, digital marketing, and communication advisory services for wineries, agri-food producers, and hospitality enterprises. In recent corporate developments, Gambero Rosso established a major strategic and industrial partnership between parent company Class Editori S.p.A. and international exhibition organizer BolognaFiere S.p.A. As part of this transaction, Class Editori contributed a 51.17 percent stake of Gambero Rosso S.p.A. into a newly created holding vehicle, Gambero Rosso Holding S.r.l., in which BolognaFiere acquired a 49.9 percent equity interest for 5.693 million euros, while Class Editori maintained operational control with a 50.1 percent interest in the holding company and a direct 10.0 percent shareholding in Gambero Rosso S.p.A. This strategic alliance combines BolognaFiere's international trade fair infrastructure with Gambero Rosso's editorial brand, certification authority, and training assets to accelerate global business expansion in the wine, food, and hospitality sectors. Additionally, the company has expanded its digital guide subscription offerings and enhanced its international promotional tours to strengthen the global positioning of Italian food and wine producers.
