- Sabaf S.p.A. is an Italy-based manufacturer specializing in components for household gas cooking appliances. Founded in 1950 and headquartered in Ospitaletto, Italy, the company produces a comprehensive range of products including gas valves, burners, spark plugs, microswitches, injectors, hinges for appliances, electronic components, and components for induction cooking. Sabaf operates globally with production sites and commercial operations in Italy, Brazil, Turkey, India, Mexico, and China, serving markets in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania.
The company’s main product segments cover gas parts such as valves and burners; hinges primarily for dishwashers and refrigerators; electronic control boards and modules; and a growing portfolio of products for induction cooking technology. Sabaf also manages several subsidiaries and brands including ARC (gas technologies), Okida and PGA (electronic components), and multiple brands in mechanical components such as hinges.
Recently, Sabaf has undergone strategic expansion through acquisitions and partnerships. In late 2022, it acquired 100% of P.G.A. s.r.l., a company specializing in electronic control boards for household appliances and innovative Internet of Things solutions, broadening Sabaf’s electronic component offerings and technological capabilities. In October 2024, Sabaf entered a strategic partnership with the Egyptian company UGT, known for the Unionaire and Premium brands, to strengthen its international presence in the Middle East and Africa and to support supply of high-quality components and innovation across multiple appliance categories including refrigeration, heating, induction cooking, and small appliances. In addition, Sabaf has focused heavily on product innovation and industrialization in 2024, developing new components for gas and induction cooking, hinges with advanced features, and a modular electronic control platform, while investing approximately €14.7 million in these efforts.
Sabaf’s growth strategy emphasizes vertical integration, industrial automation, and expansion into emerging markets supported by local production sites. The group employs around 1,700 people globally and continues to reinforce relationships with leading appliance manufacturers while advancing sustainability and advanced technology solutions in household appliance components.
