Mount Logan Capital Inc. Mount Logan Capital Inc. (Nasdaq:MLCI) is a publicly listed alternative asset management and insurance solutions company focused on public and private debt securities in the North American market and the reinsurance of annuity products. The company, through its wholly owned subsidiaries Mount Logan Management LLC and Ability Insurance Company, sources, evaluates, underwrites, manages, and invests in loans, debt securities, and other credit-oriented instruments offering attractive risk-adjusted returns; provides investment management services to privately offered funds exempt from the Investment Company Act of 1940, a business development company, Ability Insurance Company, and interval funds; serves as collateral manager for collateralized loan obligations; and reinsures annuity liabilities, including multi-year guaranteed annuities (MYGA). Mount Logan Capital Inc. manages over $2.4 billion in assets under management and targets institutional clients and family offices across North America, with headquarters in New York City, New York, following its re-domiciliation from Canada. Originally founded in 2018 as Marret Resource Corp. and renamed Mount Logan Capital Inc. in October 2018, the company completed a transformative all-stock business combination with 180 Degree Capital Corp. in September 2025, establishing a U.S.-based platform listed on Nasdaq with enhanced scale, diversified capabilities, and a closing merger value of approximately $122.7 million. This strategic merger, approved by shareholders in August 2025, expanded investment operations, strengthened the balance sheet, and initiated shareholder liquidity programs including a planned tender offer for up to $15 million in shares and additional repurchases totaling $25 million over 24 months.
