Modine Manufacturing Company (NYSE: MOD), founded in 1916 and headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin, designs, manufactures and sells thermal management technologies and solutions including heat transfer systems and components for vehicle, commercial, industrial and building HVAC markets worldwide with operations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. The company operates through two segments: Climate Solutions encompassing heat transfer products such as engineered coils for HVAC&R, mobile air conditioning, refrigeration, data center cooling and precision/industrial cooling applications plus coatings, HVAC&R solutions for heating, indoor air quality, commercial/industrial refrigeration and power generation, and data center cooling systems with design, controls, maintenance and monitoring; and Performance Technologies including air-cooled heat exchangers and modules for vehicular, stationary power and industrial uses in commercial vehicle and off-highway markets, liquid-cooled heat exchangers for engine, stationary power and industrial applications in commercial vehicle, off-highway and automotive markets, and advanced solutions for zero-emission/hybrid vehicles such as battery thermal management systems and electronics cooling packages. Core products comprise radiators, condensers, charge air coolers, oil coolers, exhaust gas recirculation coolers, battery chillers and heating solutions, transmission/power steering coolers, gas-fired/hydronic/electric/oil-fired unit heaters, duct furnaces, infrared units, makeup air units, unit ventilators, air handlers, chillers, precision air conditioning for data centers and desiccant dehumidification systems serving automotive OEM and aftermarket, commercial vehicles, off-highway/construction, agriculture, mining, stationary power generation, schools, food retail/storage and e-mobility sectors. Recent developments include the July 2025 acquisition of Climate by Design International adding desiccant dehumidification technology and critical process air handlers to expand commercial indoor air quality offerings into pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare, food processing, cold storage, battery manufacturing and ice arenas following the 2023 purchase of Napps Technology and 2024 acquisition of Scott Springfield; a January 2025 announcement of a new Franklin, Wisconsin plant for thermal management systems in specialty/commercial electric vehicles such as fire trucks, delivery vehicles, buses and construction equipment creating 200 jobs; a $100 million July 2025 investment to expand U.S. manufacturing capacity for data center cooling products; and an April 2024 shift of the coatings business from Performance Technologies to Climate Solutions Heat Transfer Products.
