Business
Public Joint-Stock Company Rosseti Moscow Region engages primarily in the transmission of electricity through its electrical networks across Moscow and the Moscow region. The company’s main products and services include the operation, installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment; provision of technical connection services to consumers; construction and modernization of high-voltage substations and power transmission lines; and implementation of digital grid connection processes and smart grid technologies. It offers a broad range of innovative IT solutions aimed at automating business processes and enhancing digitalization for large fuel and energy sector companies and other industries. Key infrastructure includes substations, overhead lines, cable networks, and fiber-optic communication lines that support electric grid reliability and integration of new residential, industrial, and logistics complexes. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Moscow, Russia, Rosseti Moscow Region was formerly known as the Moscow United Electric Grid Company until July 2020 when it adopted its current name. The company is a subsidiary of Public Joint Stock Company Rosseti. It operates with a workforce exceeding 15,000 employees organized under several branches and subsidiaries. The company serves over 43,000 consumers connected to its power grids annually and manages extensive electrical infrastructure used by residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Recent major developments include a strategic cooperation agreement signed in August 2024 with the National Energy Company to implement innovative technologies and modernize power facilities, including high-voltage substations with cutting-edge automation and protection systems. In October 2023, Rosseti Moscow Region entered an agreement with the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) to collaborate on advancing electric grid technologies in the Moscow region. The company recently commissioned a highly automated 220 kV substation employing outdoor integrated gas-insulated switchgear, enhancing power supply reliability in the Pushkinsky urban district. Rosseti Moscow Region also continuously expands its digital services platform, processing more than 98% of grid connections digitally and offering services such as smart electricity meters, smart home equipment, outdoor lighting installations, and turnkey electric vehicle charging station setups. Financially, the company reported a net profit of 27.6 billion rubles for the first nine months of 2025, marking a 23.2% increase year-over-year, with revenues rising 12.2% to 199.8 billion rubles. These figures reflect strong operational performance amid ongoing infrastructure modernization and digital transformation efforts. The company remains focused on expanding and upgrading its electrical grid assets in Moscow and its region, supporting sustainable energy delivery and integration of new technologies across its service area. Rosseti Moscow Region operates mainly in Russia with a comprehensive portfolio in electricity transmission, grid modernization, digital solutions, and power infrastructure development for diverse consumer segments, reinforcing its position as a leading electric grid company in the region.
