Business
Mercury Systems, Inc. designs, develops, and manufactures secure, open-architecture processing subsystems and components primarily for the aerospace and defense sectors. Its core products include secure embedded processing modules; avionics mission computers and displays; rugged secure computer servers; trusted microelectronics components, modules, and subsystems; radio frequency (RF), microwave, and digital solutions such as frequency converters, digital transceivers, and high-power amplifiers; and software-enabled hardware designed for scalability, ease of maintenance, and affordability. The company operates through product-oriented business units focusing on advanced microelectronics solutions and platform and mission systems, delivering hardware and software solutions integrated into mission-critical platforms for defense prime contractors, the U.S. Department of Defense, intelligence agencies, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) commercial aerospace companies. Mercury Systems serves customers worldwide, including in the U.S., Asia Pacific, and Europe, operating from its headquarters in Andover, Massachusetts, with multiple U.S.-based manufacturing and design facilities. Founded in 1981, Mercury Systems has recently undergone a strategic reorganization encompassing two U.S.-based product business units, a third unit focused on comprehensive solutions, and a fourth dedicated to international markets. The company continues to advance its edge-ready solutions embedded in more than 300 aerospace and defense programs and deployed across over 4,000 systems globally. Recent operational highlights include record backlog growth to approximately $1.4 billion, expansion of its platform-agnostic secure processing technology, and new contract awards for multi-mission subsystem development with U.S. military programs. Mercury emphasizes secure manufacturing onshore, rapid prototyping, and software-defined, modular, and scalable product designs to meet evolving defense technology demands and cyber resilience requirements. The company's financial performance in fiscal year 2025 reflects ongoing growth in revenue and adjusted EBITDA, alongside investments in innovation and operational efficiencies. Overall, Mercury Systems is positioned as a key technology partner in aerospace and defense, enabling critical sensor processing, mission computing, command and control, and communications capabilities through a comprehensive portfolio of secure and ruggedized electronic systems and subsystems.
