ArcelorMittal SA is the world's leading steel and mining company, producing a broad range of steel products including flat-rolled steels such as hot-rolled, cold-rolled, metallic-coated and organic-coated steels; long products comprising sections, sheet piles, rails, wire rod, rebar and bars; tubular products for energy, construction, engineering and automotive sectors; advanced high-strength steels and electrical steels for automotive and electro-mobility applications; construction solutions like profiles, panels, facade sidings and Steligence systems; wires, strands, wire ropes, fencing and steel fibers; as well as distribution of steel, stainless steel, aluminum and building products. Formed in 2006 through the merger of Arcelor and Mittal Steel and headquartered in Luxembourg City at 24-26 Boulevard d'Avranches, the company operates production sites in more than 60 countries across Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and the Commonwealth of Independent States, serving industries including automotive, construction, energy, appliances and infrastructure with approximately 125,000 employees. In recent developments, ArcelorMittal completed the acquisition of Nippon Steel Corporation's 50% stake in AM/NS Calvert in June 2025, consolidating control of the US facility with investments exceeding $2 billion to enhance automotive and energy market offerings including low CO2 steelmaking capacity; announced plans in March 2025 for a new world-class electrical steels plant at Calvert featuring annealing, pickling, cold-rolling and coating lines; inaugurated a Helioroof production line in 2025 to capture energy transition demand; awarded an expansion project in August 2025 at ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Jeddah with Sinosteel for OCTG and line pipe heat treatment capacity starting December 2025; and expanded in Brazil with a new continuous annealing and galvanizing line for automotive and household steels.
